Returning Kapamilya and actress-host Alex Gonzaga will star in her first-ever “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode this Saturday (August 3).

In the upcoming heavy drama episode of “MMK,” Alex will play the role of Pinky, a lovable and helpful adoptive daughter to her aunt and uncle, who had to endure the maltreatment of her cousin, Rene (Dimples Romana). Jealous with the attention that Pinky is receiving from her parents, Rene makes Pinky’s life miserable. Pinky keeps mum about the situation because she wants to finish her studies with the help of her foster family. As Pinky grows numb with Rene’s physical and emotional torture to her, from being a cry baby, Pinky eventually becomes a strong woman having the motivation to be successful so she can one day get her revenge on Rene.

Joining Alex in her “MMK” debut are Dimples, Maila Gumila, Lito Pimintel, Daisy Reyes, Alan Paule, Guji Lorenzana and Slater Young. Kapamilya child wonder Xyriel Manabat and teen star Miles Ocampo will play as young Pinky and young Rene, respectively. The upcoming episode was researched by Alex Martin, written by Joan Habana, and directed by Don Cuaresma.
