After 7 months hiatus, the MegaStar Sharon Cuneta is set to return on television for the first comedy series of her career – TV5’s “Madam Chairman.”
Dubbed as a tawaserye, “Madam Chairman” marks the first time that the MegaStar will do a primetime series in the 30 years of her celebrated showbiz career. In the upcoming TV5 project, Cuneta will portray the role of a Barangay Chairman.
In preparation for this undertaking, the MegaStar made an immersion at Barangay Doña Imelda in Quezon last month where she met the incumbent Chairman Connie Malangen and get tips from her on how a barangay is being managed.
Joining Sharon in the upcoming comedy series are Bayani Agbayani, Bearwin Meily, Fanny Serrano, Akihiro Blanco and Manny Castañeda. More cast-members will be announced soon.
“Madam Chairman” will be helmed by Director Joel Lamangan under a script by Jose Javier Reyes.
