Spyro Marco Wins Talentadong Pinoy Worldwide
US-born Spyro Marco became interested with the diabolo, or Chinese Yoyo when he first saw the toy in Disneyworld during a family trip. He spent time learning about the act until they went back to the Philippines. When her lola saw him playing the diabolo, she convinced him to join Talentadong Pinoy and the rest is history.
During the Battle Royale, all seven Hall of Famers gave their all for the aspired victory. Sor Apao took everyone’s breath away with her powerful rendition of Fantasia’s “I Believe.” JB dela Cruz, aka Laserman, danced with light and did his own version of the light saber and capping his performance with a couple of magic tricks. Rina Forbes got the stage on fire with her rendition of “Fireworks/Girl on Fire” medley.
Meanwhile, contortionist group Larvae delighted the judges with several stunts. WCOPA winner Hanna Udin impressed the audience with her rendition of Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper.” Dance group Nocturnal Dance Company received loud cheers and raves from the judges with their signature fusion of folk and street.
Spyro Marco, the last Hall of Famer to perform, proved his mastery of the Chinese Yoyo by leaving the audience stunned and compelling all the talent coaches (well except for Joey de Leon) for a standing ovation. That’s why it’s no surprise that he won the People’s Choice Award which comprised 50% of the final results. The special award has a corresponding P20,000 cash prize. But since he was also named fourth Ultimate Talentado, Spyro Marco also went home with P1 million grand prize and a house and lot.
Host Ryan Agoncillo also had his share of the spotlight when he performed a stomping dance number with the Maneuvers and daughter Yohan. It can be recalled that Ryan promised this special number during his surprise birthday celebration on Talentadong Pinoy last April.
Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez also shared her dancing talent but this time with an unexpected twist: three wardrobe quick change during the performance.
Aside from the amazing talent acts, audience were also amused by the inspiring and entertaining quips of celebrity talent scouts Judy Ann Santos, John Lapus, Direk Joey Reyes, Joey de Leon, Edu Manzano, Derek Ramsay, and the megastar Sharon Cuneta. Making special appearances were newest Kapatid Ogie Alcasid and the one and only superstar Nora Aunor.
This was a battle of talented Pinoy. All of them are the best. But he bested them all. My beat was Rina Forbes or Sor Apao. I think the uniqueness of his talent got it all. CONGRATS SPYRO. But how true it is that NON-WINNERS were just given P20K cash prizes? Why too small for all the sacrifices the contestants had?
you desrve it, mahirap ka ya yan… matagal din pinaghirapan.. congrats spyro….
god bless…………..
