During the blogcon for GMA Network’s newest teen series “Dormitoryo” on Tuesday, September 17, at Asya Restaurant in Centris, Quezon City, I asked Lauren Young if she will follow her sister’s footsteps in the future and become a beauty queen. Without hesitations, the young actress said “no.”
“I really want to focus on my acting saka ever since naman po, si Megan, ‘yun talaga ang gusto niya. Ako, wala po akong interest at all with beauty pageants. The only time that I actually watched a beauty pageant was when my sister joined. And , I don’t know, parang feeling ko kasi walang mangyayari sa akin kapag sumali ako, kasi hindi naman ako matangkad and hindi ko lang din talaga siya hilig.
“Well, maybe in the future, kasi siyempre people change, mga interest natin nag-che-change so kung one day baka magpalit ang isip ko, why not pero as of now ito lang po talaga, acting lang po talaga,” she added.
Lauren is one of the stars of GMA Network’s newest weekly teen series “Dormitoryo.” Dubbed as a suspenserye, the new show promises an outburst of suspense-filled plots and twists every Sunday afternoon beginning September 22 after Sunday All Stars.
Here’s Lauren Young’s message to her sister Megan, who by the way, is considered a shoo-in for the 2013 Miss World title:
