‘MMK’ Nominated at 41st International Emmy Awards

"Maalaala Mo Kaya," the country's longest-running drama anthology, is nominated in the drama category of the 41st International Emmy Awards.

“MMK” was cited for two episodes: “Pulang Laso” starring Carlo Aquino and Joem Bascon as bisexual lovers and “Manika” starring Jane Oineza as a young girl who was raped while her mother, portrayed by Angel Aquino, assisted in the crime.

MMK is competing against “Rebound” from France, “Next in Line” from Brazil and “Accused” from the United Kingdom.

The winners will be revealed on November 25, 2013 in New York City.

Meanwhile, the winners in the News and Current Affairs category of the International Emmy Awards, where the Philippines got two nominations, were unveiled.

GMA Network’s “I-Witness” lost to UK’s “Banaz: An Honour Killing” in the Current Affairs category while GMA Network’s “24 Oras” lost to UK’s “Channel 4 News” in the News category.

  1. pasalamat nga kayo 24 oras nakapasok pa kayo…ngayon lang yan… hindi na magugulat ang abs sa emmy awards…kasi sanay na sila..

  2. nakakatawa naman ang kanguso dito…. FYI bago nanominate ang 24 oras, nauna napong nanominate ang Bandila at TV Patrol sa iemmy award. katangang magcomment. sana manalo na ang abs-cbn pang siyam na nilang nomination ito sa iemmy pero technically nanalo sila regional iemmy sa US for adobo nation noong 2012.

    bat di kaya nakasali sa nomination sa news category ang tv patrol…o sia sana manalo ang MMK para naman wag masabing pang drama lang ang kapamilya…lols
