Ariella Arida Addresses Her Weakness in Miss Universe Bid
Ariella Arida, fondly called by friends and pageant insiders as Ara Arida, 24 and a native of Alaminos, Pangasinan, is leaving for Moscow, Russia this afternoon (October 21, Monday) where she is set to do battle with 85 other confirmed delegates at the world’s biggest, most viewed and most talked-about beauty pageant. The Miss Universe Coronation Night is on November 9 and will be aired on ABS-CBN on an unconfirmed date and time. If Channel 2 will air it live, most likely the show will be beamed at 1 AM on November 10 here in the Philippines.
Karen Davila asked for Ariella’s permission if she can ask her a slightly controversial question. “I don’t want to make you feel bad before you leave”, Davila cautioned. After Arida declared she welcomes all the questions, Davila started to enumerate the queries from Twitter. One question reads, “Karen, is she our representative to the Miss Universe? It seems like she’s having a hard time speaking in English.”
“I’m aware of that actually,” Arida responded. “I got a lot of… feelings especially on my communication skill. I’m doing my best to convey my message to the people. Like what I told my trainers, I will do my best in the competition,” our Miss Universe- Philippine declared further. Davila looked at Arida and gave her more time to assure the Filipino people of her worthiness as our representative to one of the world’s most watched inter-country event.
