Pacquiao vs Rios: Fighter of the Decade Manny Pacquiao is set for a bout at welterweight today, November 24, 2013 (Sunday, Manila time), at the Venetian Macao resort & hotel in Macau of the Special administrative regions in China against The Ring ranked #6 Junior Welterweight Brandon Ríos for the WBO International welterweight title.

Both Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios are hoping to get back on track after suffering from recent losses in their careers.

Pacman’s controversial lost to Timothy Bradley last June may not be that big of a deal but when he was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez, the world starts to question if the eight-division world champ has lost its mojo.

Rios, on the other hand, lost to Mike Alvarado via unanimous decision. Is he ready for Pacquiao this time? Who do you think will emerge victorious after this bout?

Jessica Sanchez sang the Philippine National Anthem (“Lupang Hinirang”) and the American National Anthem (“Star Spangled Banner”).

Round 1: Pacquiao makes early strikes. Connects with a straight left. His follow-up downs Rios. First round definitely goes to Pacman.

Round 2: Pacquiao lands combinations. Rios strikes back with body punches. It was almost an equal bout until Pacquiao lands flush on Rios face in the last 10 seconds. The Pinoy boxer is getting aggressive. He wins round 2.

Round 3: Rios tries to get even by giving Pacquiao several punches and pushing him to the edge of the ring. The American boxer scores an uppercut but Pacquiao counters with a left. Round 3 goes to Rios.

Round 4: Pacquiao strikes early with a combination. He unleashes a wild swing to Rios but he missed.

Rios connects with a few punches but Pacquiao scores a solid punch to his face making the American boxer lose his balance. This round definitely goes to Pacquiao.

Round 5: Recovering from a strong punch in the face, Rios tries to make some jabs. Pacquiao connects to the face again.

Rios is now avoiding Pacquiao’s punches. Pacquiao is getting more aggressive trying to penetrate. Before the round ends, Pacman connects with another combination to Rios face.

Round 6: Rios is getting off balance from Manny’s straight punches. Rios has a cut on his left eye. He’s losing control. Pacman is winning!

Round 7: Rios is trying to land some punches but Pacquiao’s guard is strong. The two boxers exchange punches in their attempt to connect. Unofficial scores are 70-63 so far in favor of Pacman.

Round 8: Rios is getting aggressive again trying to push Manny to the edge. He manages to connect but Pacquiao retaliates. Pacquiao’s lead is not that big.

Round 9: Pacquiao throws a couple of punches to Rios’ body. The American boxer seems undaunted by his bleeding nose as he’s able to equal Manny’s punches.

Round 10: Pacquiao lands a couple of punches to Rios’ face. Rios retaliates. Scores are now 100-90 in favor of Pacman but this round is a toss-up.

Round 11: Pacquiao unleashes his signature combinations to keep his lead. Rios looks battered but he shows no signs of quitting. Pacquiao connects to Rios face. Filipinos are already celebrating at this moment.

Round 12: Pacquiao lands a strong shot that almost down Rios. The Filipino fighter keeps on attacking as if he wants a knock out victory but Rios is still steady.
