A homegrown TV5 talent and hailed as one of the network’s primetime princesses, Jasmine starred in TV5’s TV remake of the hit action-romance film “Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum” opposite JC de Vera in 2011 and played the role of Epifania “Anya” Dionisio in “Nandito Ako,” where she co-starred with Eula Caballero and American Idol Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta in 2012. In the third quarter of 2013, Jasmine starred in TV5’s action series “Undercover” as the leading lady of Derek Ramsay. The project was Jasmine’s 3rd primetime series on the network.

Aside from doing dramas, Jasmine has also done comedy, fantasy, horror and variety by appearing in various TV5 programs such as “Fantastik,” “Hey It’s Saberday!,” “Pidol’s Wonderland,” “Regal Shocker” and presently in “Tropa Mo Ko Unli.”

Hosting-wise, Jasmine topbills the first ever social media music show, “SPINNation,” which airs live every Saturday, 11:00PM on TV5.

Earlier this year, Jasmine added a feather in her cap by winning Best Supporting Actress at the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival for the movie “Transit,” the Philippine entry to the 2014 Oscar Awards. In the winning Indie film, Jasmine played the role of Yael, an OFW’s daughter who is not familiar with the Filipino culture because she was born and raised in Israel.

After her Cinemalaya stint, Jasmine showcased her acting skills once again via the critically acclaimed psycho-thriller “Puti,” an entry to the first CineFilipino Film Festival. In the film, she played the role of Nika, an art student who helps an art forger in his schemes in exchange for the latter’s mentorship.

Meanwhile, Jasmine is considered by media as one of the fastest rising star of 2013 for having starred in different shows, and receiving various offers and endorsements left and right and an acting award at that. The young artist, however, decides to stay with TV5 — the network that “helped her to be where she is today”. With Jasmine’s decision to remain a Kapatid, TV5 will surely have a lot more to offer that will further help the actress develop her talent and explore her potentials as a versatile artist.

One of her upcoming projects is a movie with no less than Superstar Nora Aunor, the young actress revealed.

“There are plans na gumawa ng pelikula alongside Ms. Nora Aunor, so that’s something that I hope matuloy because of course she’s such a renowned actress and an icon so it could be nice to learn tips from her and new skills from her if ever nga na matuloy yung movie,” she said.

Starmometer asked Jasmine what are the things that she wants to achieve in the next three years as a Kapatid Star.

She shared: “More acting awards, but there’s no rush of course. It took me three years to get my first award, if it takes me another 10 years to get my next award, ok lang. Ibig sabihin, you know, I’m still learning and trying to understand all the little corners of this industry.”

“Other than awards naman, just to form a very long lasting career that keeps on going. It doesn’t have to be big but as long as it’s strong, as long as it’s promising, then I’m fulfilled,” she said.

To date, Jasmine has 1,399,710 followers on Twitter. Her influence among the youth makes her one of the most bankable celebrity endorsers. A freshman in Ateneo, Jasmine does her best to balance her career and her studies. She also devotes her free time in various advocacies and volunteers for cause organizations such as WorldVision.
