Koreen Medina Wins Miss Intercontinental 2013 3rd Runner-Up

The winning streak of the Philippines in global pageants continues as another Filipina beauty, Koreen Medina finished third runner-up in the recently concluded Miss Intercontinental 2013 pageant held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Magdeburg, Germany.


Considered as the youngest candidate in the competition, the 18-year-old Medina was also adjudged ‘Miss Continental Queen of Asia and Ocenia’ during the coronation night held at the Maritim Hall, Maritim Hotel Magdeburg.

Her placement was the highest finish by a Filipina in the pageant since 1994.

Miss Russia Ekaterina Plekhova was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2013. She bested 58 other beauties from nations and autonomous territories around the world. Puerto Rico’s Aleyda Ortiz placed first runner-up while Colombia’s Margarita Peralta won second runner-up. Completing the Top 5 is South Africa’s Kayla Nel who placed fourth runner-up.

A Star Magic talent, Medina is a former grand winner of ABS-CBN’s “My Girl”.
