‘Bride for Rent’ Hits P280-M in 2 Weeks, KimXi to Film 3rd Movie

The Star Cinema rom-com movie "Bride for Rent" is on track to become the first movie of 2014 to surpass the P300-million mark and enter the list of PH's Top 10 highest-grossing films of all time.

Since it premiered last January 14, “Bride for Rent” already garnered P280 million in ticket sales nationwide.

“Isn’t it amazing? Isn’t it surprising? Isn’t it? I’m so happy lalo na nung tine-text nila sa akin kung magkano na yung gross. Sabi ko, ‘Oh my God, totoo ba ‘yan?’ Tapos the next day, ‘Oh my God. Totoo ba ‘to?’ Every day na sinasabi nila yung figure, sobrang hindi ako naniniwala,” Kim told ABS-CBN News.

For the meantime, the Kapamilya primetime Princess will be separated from Xian in her new teleserye as ABS-CBN management decided to pair her this time with Coco Martin.

However for the big screen, Kim film her third movie with Xian Lim to be released later this year.

    January palang me blockbuster na agad ang Star Cinema,pano pa kungmalapit na MMFF dun ata nilalabas yung mga magagandang pelikula ng Star Cinema, ito feel easy,upbeat and feel good lang mag 300M pesos na and counting plus 32 ciemas here in the US showing from 1-31-14 to 2-16-14 at baka ma extend pa?

    BFR’s plot or main story was so common already, SC capitalized on their talent, including the director to make the film a blockbuster. To make the scenes real, Kim just fooled around on the set and it was effective since the story was just fooling around. Genius and excellent thus it turn into money making movie. Kudos to ABS CBN / SC. The Philippine movie industry is alive again.
