Atom Araullo, Marielle Benitez, Aly Borromeo to Host 2014 FIFA World Cup Primer ‘Road to Rio’

Hosting this upcoming show are Philippine National Football Team captains Marielle Benitez of the Malditas, Aly Borromeo of the Philippine Azkals, together with Football enthusiasts and TV journalist Atom Araullo.

This year, football finally comes home, as Brazil; one of the most famous Football capitals of the world, will hosts the 2014 FIFA World Cup. “Road to Rio” will take viewers through an informative audio-visual journey regarding the history of the sport, the legendary players, the greatest plays, trivias, match analysis of this quadruple event.

For half-an-hour, Benitez, Borromeo and Araullo will give viewers news and updates regarding the different Football teams, their rosters, their match-ups as they all prepare for the famous World Cup. From basic rules, scoring, officials in charge, innovations in goal-line technology, and information regarding “Fuleco” (the official mascot) and Brazuca (“the official match ball”), this energetic and well-educated trio will guide audiences as they wait for the most-awaited tournament in football history.

For fans and enthusiasts of the game, they are invited to provide their opinions, predictions and reactions through social media regarding their favorite squads and who will eventually wins the coveted trophy in Brazil.
