Top 20 Highest-Grossing Filipino Movies of All Time – As of March 2014
The MMFF 2013 entry “Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy” is now considered as the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time by virtue of its reported earnings of P429 million. Following in second place is another MMFF movie–“My Little Bossings”–which had an estimate gross of P393 million.
The said two films broke the record of MMFF 2012 entry “Sisterakas” which held the title for one year. “It Takes a Man and a Woman,” was supposedly the first Pinoy film to surpass the P400-million mark according to Star Cinema but we will follow the report of Box Office Mojo instead (₱375,024,507) to be fair with all the other movies.
Two of Star Cinema’s latest releases–“Bride for Rent” and “Starting Over Again”–already occupied the 6th and 7th slot in the top 10!
