ABS-CBN’s newest family drama, “Hawak Kamay,” reached out to modern day Filipino families all throughout the country and topped television ratings for five days straight on its debut week.

According to data from Kantar Media, “Hawak Kamay” consistently took the number 1 spot in daily nationwide television ratings, earning an average rating of 24.6% throughout the week of July 21-25 as compared to its rival network’s counterpart, which earned an average rating of 17.7%. On its “Hawak Kamay” Rewind last Saturday, it got a rating of 8.2% vs. its rival which got 7.2%.

“Hawak Kamay” stars acclaimed television and movie actor Piolo Pascual and details the story of a beat down musician named Gin who finds light in his experiences with three orphans who come into his life by a fateful series of events.

The series also features the talents of child superstars Zaijan Jaranilla, Andrea Brillantes, Xyriel Manabat, and Yesha Camile. They are joined by Iza Calzado, Nikki Gil, Ryan Bang, Axel Torres, Sofia Andres, and Victor Neri.
