Fresh from winning top-honor awards in the recently concluded Cinemalaya Film Festival 2014, APT Entertainment’s movie, The Janitor, can now be seen by the general public beginning October 08, 2014.

The film won Best Director award for one of this generation’s youngest and most passionate film makers – Mike Tuviera, who has made a name for himself in a string of box office hits and whose most recent creation, The Janitor, had won praises from critics.

The film revolves around the contending characters played by two of the country’s dashing and highly popular male actors – Dennis Trillo and Derek Ramsay. In the movie, Dennis was a former cop who was tasked to search for criminals who robbed a bank and killed innocent people. On the other hand, Derek’s character offers something that his fan has never seen before as he plays his most villainous movie role so far. The dramatic performances of the two main characters including the valuable contributions of the other members of the cast are features that lovers of Pinoy action movies should look forward to.

The Janitor was acclaimed by both viewers and critics alike during the Cinemalaya Film Fest as it earned for Mike Tuviera and his team Best Director, Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Screenplay and Best Performance by an actor in Supporting Role for Nicco Manalo. The film is also slated to compete in next year’s Fantasporto or Festival Internacional de Cinema do Porto, to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from Feb. 27 to March 7.

Graded A by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board, this award winning film is destined to revive the “police drama” in the local film arena. Joining Derek and Dennis in this action-packed motion picture are Alex Medina, LJ Reyes, Nicco Manalo, Raymond Bagatsing, Sunshine Garcia, Ricky Davao, Jerald Napoles, Irma Adlawan and Richard Gomez.
