Bela Padilla has just been launched as the new host of GMA News TV’s longest-running reality show of its kind–“Day Off”–joining comedians Mike “Pekto” Nacua, Maey Bautista and Boobay.
If you’ve been living under a rock, “Day Off” is a reality public service program that awards people with a day off from their job with Pekto, Maey, Boobay and Bela switching for them while they are being pampered. The show airs on GMA News TV every Saturday at 6:00pm and it has been airing for a whopping 9 years now!
Now that the show found its new “leading lady,” no task is too hard for the gang as they take the place of Day Off winners while they leave work behind to enjoy a luxurious day of fun and relaxation with their family.
And now that the show is on its ninth year on air, “Day Off” will bring everything to the next level as the hosts’ skills, and most of the time courage, are put to the test with humorous twists and turns created to make each job a fun and amazing adventure.

This Saturday on “Day Off,” Bela and Pekto will ignite some dynamites and run for their lives in two minutes as they take on the job of selected quarry workers. Can Bela and Pekto blast their way from dynamite explosions and operate earth-moving heavy equipments this weekend?

Don’t miss “Day Off” every Saturday at 6:00pm on GMA News TV 11.
Blogger’s opinion: “Day Off” is one of the most creative programs on Philippine television which kinda figures under the radar of various award-giving bodies. This show should win Best Reality Program from Star Awards for TV or Golden Screen TV Awards…well again, in my humble opinion. :)
