As divorce statistics in China soars high over the past few years, Rejoice launched an empowering video that proves that love is sweeter the second time around (and if given a chance).

The video starts with a couple on the brink of divorce. The husband wants his wife to sign the divorce papers, and the wife instead of refusing to do so… asks for a simple request before she does so. She asks her husband to meet with her, embrace, on a daily basis for a month before she finally signs the doomed paper. Eager to go on with the divorce, the husband complies with his wife’s last wish before they go on separate ways.

The estranged wife tried to rekindle the fire, on the place where her husband proposed, on a rooftop. Overwhelmed with emotions, the wife just can’t compose herself yet the husband remains stubborn. She also took him to the place where they first kissed, and tried to cherish those memories before she lets him go. They also visited the place where he first muttered the words “I love you” and his stubbornness is somehow he was moved by the compassion of his wife and how much she cherishes their memories together.

Finally, they met again where they first met. Every time the husband held her close, the more he was drawn closer as the memories begin to resurface and reignite. She has already signed the divorce papers, and as he holds her close one last time, all the memories, the feelings, and the passion just lit up inside of him and it seems he can’t resist to have and to hold her once again. As she hands the paper to him, he felt he made a mistake of letting her go and tried to catch up on her in vain for she had already left.

Statement-wise, the video shows that if it’s really love, you don’t have to let it go for it will be a mistake that one will regret for his or her entire life. Though uncertain if the two ended up together, a certain number of couples who separated ways found a way back into each other’s arms again.
It is true that love is like a roller coaster because of its ups and downs and risks, but it will always be a cycle where you’ll find your way back into the arms of the one you really love.
