Marian Rivera to Reunite with Alden Richards in PH Version of ‘My Love from the Star’
“Endless Love: Autumn in My Heart,” “My Name is Kim Sam Soon,” “Temptation of Wife,” and “Coffee Prince” are some of the hit Korean drama series that were remade by GMA Network for Philippine television. And if there’s a foreign TV series that was shown this year worthy to have a Filipino version, it’s no other than GMA Network’s highest-rating Korean drama of 2014 – “My Love from the Star.”
Originally titled “You Who Came from Another Star,” the said fantasy romance drama from South Korea was a big hit in China, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines and other countries as well. It starred Kim Soo-hyun and Jun Ji-hyun, who both won the Daesang (grand prize), the highest award for television, at the 2014 Korea Drama Awards and 2014 Baeksang Arts Awards respectively. They are the very first male and female lead to win the grand prize with a same drama.
With the success of the tagalized version of “My Love from the Star” which also trended on Twitter Philippines (and several times worldwide) every night during its airing, clamors from fans that GMA should do a Pinoy version of the series have been growing. And now, there are rumors that GMA Network is slated to produce a local version of “My Love from the Star” in 2015. And still, according to the grapevine, “Carmela” leads Marian Rivera and Alden Richards are being tapped by the network to star in the local version of the said Korean drama series.
Please take note that GMA Network is yet to release an official announcement about the local version of “My Love from the Star” but if ever that this report pushes through, are you in favor of Marian for the role of Steffi and Alden for the role of the handsome alien MatteoDo?

As I crammed through the comments, I just realize one thing. Ang bagay na Do Min Joon (Matteo Do) is RICHARD GUTTIEREZ. Yeah, he’s the one that will fit with Matteo’s attitude. If I just realized it sonner, lol. Haha! And there’s a great chemistry between Rhian and Richard! <3 <3 <3

Mike Tan – Lee Hwi-Kyung (Winston Lee)
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not against Marian Rivera and Alden Richards nor have any hard guts on them because I love them. I just think that these guys’ acting preferences will justify the characters’. Especially, Ms. Rhian Ramos who showed her amazing acting skills in “Sossy Girls,” “My Kontrabida Girl,” and “LaLola.”

i think, much better kung si Rhian Ramos, kasi bagay sa kanya yung pagka kalog at baliw baliwan na maarte.. gaya ng role nya sa “My Kontrabida Girl” i think perfect siya sa role na Cheon Song Yi (Steffi Cheon). Naisip ko na to dati pa, na posibleng gawaan ng Filipino version ang MLFTS.. At dahil big fan ako nun, mas bagay kay Alden Richards ang role na Do Min Joon (Matteo Do) dahil si Kim Soo Hyun ay mas bata kesa kay Jeon Ji Hyeon.. mas fit si Alden dun.. 🙂

Iba talaga ang GMA mga shows nila sobrang ganda at di paulit-ulit gaya ng EBS na puro pang pokpok at starlet pa ang mga bida. Nakakajologs ang mga shows nila sobra. No wonder mga starlets nilang bata mga pangpokpok din mga shows. Kakaluka bad influence talaga tong EBAK-CB-END.

Marian? Okay siya because i can see the characteristics of steffi kay marian. But if possible find another one that really suit the character of steffi. For matteo’s character, wala akong maisip o mkita na mgfifit sa character ni mateo, but we hope you could find, young and fresh like mateo and nkkaatract,yung unang tingin pa lang mssabi mong yun na. They are not matched as a pair. Better look for a better leading man for Marian, a mature one like Dingdon, Richard G, .Alden can grow up as an actor, but never be a real actor. that is it.

Wala na bang ibang leading man sa GMA? Kung hindi si DD ang leading man, magpahinga na lang si MR or mag-co host ng Starstruck. Hindi talaga sila bagay ni AR kaya huwag nang ipagpilitan.
Puede din sina Marian and Alden ,kaya lang gusto ko din sana mag partner sina Kris Bernal and Alden Richard kasi madami naman din silang followers suggest ko lang sana yung Version ng Winter Sonata ang gawin nina Kris Bernal and Alden Richard ,kasi maganda ang story ng Winter Sonata sa korean version sina Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo ang nag dala ng story ,Oh,kaya ipalabas na lang ulit sa Channel 7 yung Winter Sonata.
Dapat mag lie low muna ni Marian para magkaroon na sila ng baby. Wala silang chemistry ni Alden kaya nga hindi pumatok ang Carmela. Tapos si yanyan na naman sisisihin pag hindi nag-hit.
