SM and Viva Join Forces in Bringing Hit Asian Films to Filipino Moviegoers Thru ‘Sine Asia’

Steadily and strongly, the Asian Film Genre has etched itself in the local movie scene. Now SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc. (SMLEI) and Viva International Pictures open the door for this films through SineAsia.

SineAsia Theater is the first Asian tagalized theatre in the country which will have its opening on March 2015. Last February , 2015, Mr. Edgar C. Tejerero (SM Lifestyle Entertainment, Inc.) and Mr. Vic Del Rosario (Viva Entertainment Inc.) officially signed a contract for the creation of this theatre.

The theatre will have an exterior that will show the authenticity of the oriental flicks to be played on the big-screen. The movie will be dedicated to the viewing of never-before-seen, premiere and commercial Asian films.

These films will be “tagalized” for audience to have easier viewing plus the Filipino family will be provide different movie platforms that are exclusively SM Cinema and Walter Mart Cinemas.

SineAsia is a collaboration of two of the country’s entertainment giant to pave the way for the rapid rise in popularity of these films.

Opening SineAsia will open with Lee Min Ho’s GANGNAME BLUES. This film is the official grand attraction for the theater’s grand launch on March. Earning a total of $ 7.6 Million in its first week, this highly-anticipated Korean flick is expected to reap more sales as it will open in 13 Asian countries including the Philippines.

Other films lined-up for SineAsia are : FROM VEGAS TO MACAU, ONCE UPON A TIME IN SHANGHAI, SPL 2, MOURNING GRAVE, MY LOVE, MY BRIDE, RISE OF THE LEGEND starring Chow Yun Fat, Tony Jaa, Nicholas Tse and Kim So Eun.

Presenting the best of Asian Cinema has to offer, Viva International Pictures provide films to show exclusive Asian tagalized films from the biggest studtios in Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand & Taiwan such as CJ Entertainment, Showbox,TOEI Company LTD, 9ers Entertainment, Showgate, Megavision Pictures, EDKO Films Ltd., Wada Lote, Sahamongkol, TOHO, Kadokowa Pictures TBS and Star Alliance.

SMLEI reinvents one dedicated theater in 8 of its SM Cinema branches to make way for SineAsia Theater. Among the chosen malls are SM Megamall, SM Sta. Mesa, SM Fairview, SM Ilo-ilo, SM Bacoor, SM Cebu, SM Manila, and SM North Edsa.

Depending on the demand for these Asian movies are, SMEI is prepared to extend the theatres to all branches nationwide.

  2. mga flop na muvi pinagsama sama para nga naman madami silang flop na sabay sabay pinalabas. at least hindi nakakahiya kasi lahat silaz flop
