James Reid and Nadine Lustre, collectively known as JaDine, the hottest love team and Jollibee’s newest endorsers for its Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Yum, topbills in the screen adaptation of Marcelo Santos III’s best-selling Wattpad novel – PARA SA HOPELESS ROMANTIC.

In the film, James and Nadine plays the role of ex-lovers Nikko and Becca who have different is positions about love while Inigo Pascual and Julia Barretto are plays Ryan and Maria, lead characters in Becca’s alternative reality.

They seem to be doing a lot of Wattpad-ish rom-com, we asked if JaDine if they would consider doing more in-depth, dramatic roles.

“We can pero right now kasi we consider this time of films as stepping stones pa lang yung difficulty na ginagawa namin,” Nadine said. “Personally ayoko naman na di pa ako masyadong experience tapos masasabak sa malaking project.”

James seconded her answer, “We don’t want to jump into something without being prepared for it.”

Being two of the most sought after stars in the industry, we asked if they do something to have an edge over the other celebrities.

“We’ve been so busy lately everyday for the past year, so the acting workshops that we did was before the movie. I wish we can also take some time off to hone our skill and practice our craft but we get to have own going training through our numerous project,” according to James.

Nadine further explained, “Pero from day one naman po nung DIARY NG PANGET anlaki din po ng inimprove namin ni James. Siyempre experience din, nakakatulong din ung experience.”

Regarding the different comparisons and being pitted to other young love teams, Nadine stated that, “We’re not pressured naman with other love teams kasi kami ni James we’re not here to compete with anyone, we’re just enjoying what we are doing, and building up our own career.”

“When we started in Viva, there was really no competition,” James pointed. “It was only when we transferred to ABS when things regarding competition came out.”

Truly, these two are inseparable and rumors in pipeline circulated whether it is true that James decided to sign a contract with the Kapamilya Network because the other rival network refused to bring Nadine in the picture.

“No, no, that’s not true,” James said. “I always wanted to go back to ABS, simply because I owe a lot to them, like Direct Dyogi, PBB jumpstarted my career. Whether or not it’s true, we chose ABS.”

JaDine who has undeniable chemistry never fails to capture the hearts of their fans through their various projects including the 2014 runaway blockbuster hit DIARY NG PANGET, their Wansapanatym hit series MY APP BOYFIE, and their much-awaited teleserye ON THE WINGS OF LOVE and of course as Jollibee’s Cheesy Bacon Yum television commercial.

We asked Nadine, whose mom was once a Jollibee crew member, ever influenced her to sign the contract with Jollibee, Nadine has this to say.

“Not really, Viva naman po ang nag-offered nagulat lang din po ako, siyempres ako naexcite kasi I grew-up with Jollibee kasi my mom was a crew member before. My first birthday was in Jollibee. My brothers and sisters’s birthday was in Jollibee so it’s great to be an endorser for one of the country’s well-known food chain.”
