ANC, USAID, and CIC Collaborate to Promote Credit Information System in PHL

ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), the country’s most trusted news channel, has partnered with the government’s Credit Information Corporation (CIC) and The United States Agency for International Development to promote awareness of the country’s centralized credit information system.

“We are one with CIC in promoting financial literacy among Filipinos and in making sure we help in providing them with the right information and tools for them to achieve financial success, whatever their lot in life,” said Ging Reyes, head of ABS-CBN Integrated News.

As the result of the partnership, ANC will provide features that highlight the importance of having a comprehensive and centralized credit information system in its personal finance program “On the Money” through the “Salve Says” segment, anchored by financial adviser Salve Duplito.

In its pilot offering that aired last week, Duplito talked about investing in a good credit record and learning to manage debt.

The launch of the partnership was led by Reyes; Jaime Garchitorena, president and CEO of CIC; and Kevin Sharp, deputy chief of the Office of Economic Development and Governance-USAID.

Don’t miss “On the Money,” anchored by Edric Mendoza, Salve Duplito and Lexi Schulze, daily at 7:30AM and 6:30PM on ANC (SKyCable Channel 27). To get updated on the latest news stories, visit anc.abs-cbn.com, like www.facebook.com/ANCalerts, or follow @ANCALERTS on Twitter.
