Netizens were impressed with Aljur Abrenica when he played the lead role in the June 27 episode of Magpakailanman titled “Ang Bunga ng Nakaraan: The Nestor Jasm Boller Story.”

The story revolved around Jasm’s misfortunes in life–from his childhood days when his father left them, to his growing up years when he had trouble making ends meet, and later on, becoming a father at a young age and being cheated on by the woman he loved. It highlighted how Jasm was able to get back on his feet after all the challenges that came his way.

Netizens applauded his talent and gave their thumbs up on Twitter which made #AljurAbrenicaOnMPK trend after the show aired last Saturday.

Some of the viewers’ favorite scenes were when Aljur’s character abandoned his daughter, the fist fight before he was arrested by the police, and when he asked for forgiveness from his mother.

The Kapuso actor expressed his appreciation to his supporters and all the netizens who gave positive feedback.
