Megan Young’s Rival in Miss World 2013 Wins Miss USA 2015

Olivia and Megan

Olivia Jordan, USA’s delegate to Miss World 2013 (she made it to the Top 20, PH’s Megan Young won the title), won the title Miss USA 2015 which was held Sunday night, July 12, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

First Runner Up was Miss Texas, Ylianna Guerra, one of the three latinas in the competition. Prior to the coronation night, she was expected to dropped out of the competition following Donald Trump’s racist and controversial comments about Mexico which received flak from Latin American countries and compelled NBC and Univision to boycott the pageant. Guerra, however, remained and almost won the crown.

Second Runner Up was Miss Rhode Island, Anea Garcia. Completing the Top 5 were Miss Nevada, Brittany McGowan and Miss Maryland, Mame Adjei.

The Rest of Top Eleven:

Miss Alabama, Madison Guthrie
Miss Delaware, Renee Bull (first time ever Delaware made the cut in Miss USA)
Miss Hawaii, Emma Wo
Miss Louisiana, Candice Bennatt
Miss Michigan, Rashontae Wawrzyniak
Miss Kentucky, Katie George

The Rest of Top Fifteen:

Miss Arizona, Maureen Montagne
Miss Illinois, Renee Wronecki
Miss New York, Thatiana Diaz (also a latina)
Miss Virginia, Laura Puleo

Miss Photogenic was Miss Indiana and the Miss Congeniality Award was shared by Delaware and Miss Alaska.
