Chynna Ortaleza and her band Lara Serena are about to perform here at 70's Bistro Bar in Q.C.

It all started as a dream. Kapuso actress Chynna Ortaleza dreamt of singing the song “Beautiful Contradiction,” which she wrote, by the way, with the help of her friend Glaiza de Castro. Now it became a reality since she recently formed an all-girl band called Lara Serena, which is Chynna’s real name.

And yes, she can sing and she can even play the guitar and write songs! The Rich Man’s Daughter star is another multi-talented Kapuso that we can consider a triple threat.

Lara Serena is composed of Chynna as the lead singer, Mat Rabena on rhythm guitar, Chen Pangan on lead guitar, Z Mendioro on bass guitar and KV Viloria on drums. The band performed “Beautiful Contradiction” and three other songs written by Chynna called “Plague My Mind,” “Moments With You” and “Lost.”
