4th Power Makes It to ‘X Factor UK’ Top 24, Will Change Name to 4th Impact

4th Power

If we are to believe the spoilers being posted on various blogs and websites, Filipino girl group 4th Power has made it to the Top 24 of “The X Factor UK.” They will join 5 other groups namely The First Kings, Silver Tone, Alien, Men on Point, and BEKLN. Their mentor will be Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

Unfortunately, Pinay mom Neneth Lyons failed to make it to Simon Cowell’s Over 25 group.

And back to 4th Power, the Pinay girl band will be renamed to 4th Impact due to copyright claim by a group who earlier called themselves such.

According to Digital Spy UK, 4th Power are in the process of changing their name but no decision has been made yet if 4th Impact is their final choice.

This is not the first time that copyright claim and change of name happened in the “X Factor” franchise. It also happened during the time of Little Mix and Fifth Harmony.

In 2011, Little Mix was originally known as Rhythmix while in 2012, LYLAS were renamed to Fifth Harmony.

Even Zayn Malik, the former One Direction member, was called Zain Malik during his “X Factor” days.
