Abunda asked the beauty queen: “How important is it for you to wear Filipino designed and Filipino-made costumes, gowns and other articles of clothing in representing the country in the Miss Globe Pageant? How will this help your performance?

Ann Colis: “Well, Tito Boy, it is really important to me to wear a Filipino-designed costume because I know that only a Filipino will bring the Filipino heart to that costume. Of course it will also boost my confidence since alam ko po na I’m wearing a Filipino-designed costume and dala ko ‘yung pangalan ng Pilipinas di ba?”

  1. It’s been years that Filipino beauty fans been complaining about the gown especially the national costume made in Colombia. For many years Mrs. Stella ignored the fans. I am hoping that both evening gown and national costume will be made by a Filipino designer.
