With a distinguished background in finance and winning accolades along the way, Mr. Ibrahim specializes in turning around distressed operations into successful business entities. Through his investment fund, he acquired Bintan Lagoon Resort, a 470-room beach and golf resort in Bintan, Indonesia, and transformed it into one of the most profitable operations and recognized brands in Bintan today.

He is deeply involved in the day-to-day running of the Resort and is instrumental in bringing fresh changes. In June this year, the Resort was rebranded with a new logo that celebrates the massive offerings of the Resort and its key characteristics of ‘hip’, ‘modern’, ‘vibrant’, ‘social’ and ‘fun’. The food & beverage outlets have been upgraded with new concepts, menus and entertainment. To make it more family friendly, the Leisure Centre has added a Jungle Gym for children, Power Gym for adults and new recreational equipment. Monthly guest activities and events are organized to keep guests engaged. Moe Ibrahim is a firm believer in nurturing the talents of employees to develop a strong customer centric service.

“We are in the business of making lasting memories. It’s all about the people. A strong and social team is the foundation of a successful business and my goal in the coming year is to empower and build the confidence of each employee at BLR to take charge and ownership of everything that they do. As an entrepreneur, I feel it is important for the team to be invested in their work. It brings a sense of pride in their daily tasks. Happiness is contagious. If my team is happy, it will spread through the resort and the guests will have a great time. Bintan Lagoon Resort is working towards the goal of being a ‘true’ resort,” remarked Moe Ibrahim.

He added, “I am very honored to receive this award and dedicate it to my awesome staff of over 500. Bintan Lagoon Resort is undergoing a major transformation with exciting new developments in the pipeline. Guests can expect positive changes and an extraordinary experience at Bintan Lagoon Resort. The spirit of hospitality is very much alive here.”
