“The most powerful way to be an angel for animals is to stop eating them and their byproducts such as eggs and dairy,” says Rafael Rosell. “I urge everyone to go vegan and enjoy blissful, cruelty-free versions of traditional Filipino dishes such as vegetable kare-kare and tofu sisig.”

As pointed out by PETA Asia, whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat,” going all-out vegan is another great way to boost one’s health, and people who eat more vegetables are less likely to suffer heart disease, strokes, diabetes, cancer and obesity than meat-eaters do.

But going vegan is not just being healthy, it also contributes in making the world a better place. If one goes vegan, they spare more than 100 animals every year daily suffering and a terrifying death in today’s meat, egg and dairy industries.

A lot of animals raised for food are confined to filthy, crowded enclosures and denied everything that is natural and important for them.
When it comes to factory farms and in slaughterhouses, chickens have their throats slithered while still being conscious, piglets are castrated and have their tails cut off without being given painkillers, and cows are hung upside down and often skinned while they’re still alive and be able to feel pain.

Going vegan doesn’t just mean saving those poor animals by uncharacteristic demise, but also it literally helps you be eco-friendly. Meat industry is a major producer of greenhouses gases that contribute to climate change. In fact, according to THE WORLDWATCH INSTITURE estimates that at least 51% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide can be attributed to livestock and their by products.

This is why, many artists, which now includes Rafael Rosell joins in and encourages people to “Go Vegan”. Rafael who has been a staunch supporter of animal rights and fights against animal cruelty through his social media accounts like Instagram. These indignation against the maltreatment of animals across the globe, made PETA noticed and talked with him regarding not only his stand regarding his advocacy for animal 8 his lifestyle.
