Rodrigo Duterte Tagged as ‘The Punisher’ on the Cover of TIME Magazine
The May 23, 2016 issue of TIME magazine has no less than Philippine’s new President Rodrigo Duterte on the cover, accompanied by the headline: “The Punisher: Why Rodrigo Duterte is the Philippines’ new leader” by Charlie Campbell. The issue is now available in news stands nationwide.
Duterte’s photo that was used on the cover was taken by famed photographer Edwin Tuyay who took this shot in 2015 for the Asian Dragon Magazine which has a headline “The Man Who Would Be President.” It was licensed by TIME for one time use only.
