‘SOCO’ Tackles Road Rage Killing of Mark Vincent Garalde, ‘Failon Ngayon’ Zeroes In on Government’s 911 and 8888 Hotlines

It was the story that captured the attention of Filipinos a week ago. Mark Vincent Garalde, a cycling enthusiast, rode his bike from work one night. Army reservist Vhon Tanto was also on the road driving his car. Fate had the two rail at each other that night, and a CCTV footage would reveal the next day the bloody encounter that left Garalde dead on the pavement, his bike on his side.

This Saturday (August 6) at 4pm, Gus Abelgas and his “SOCO” team will retrace the events before and after the ghastly road feud between Garalde and Tanto, who fled the scene of the crime and went into hiding for days while the police searched for him. “SOCO” once again went all out to provide a comprehensive report and analysis on the much-talked about road rage case.

Committed to show the stories behind the crimes to help Filipinos protect themselves and their family, “SOCO” has been enjoying a huge viewership based on data from Kantar Media. Meanwhile, Ted Failon will discuss another big news story that has recently hogged the headlines – the activation of special government hotlines 911 and 8888. Catch his in-depth report on this issue and other hot topics in the country on “Failon Ngayon” at 10:45pm also this Saturday (August 6).
