Gist: CAMP SAWI tells the story of 5 different women who are struggling to mend their broken hearts, find themselves inside a camp that will help them recover from their awful experiences in love.

The Positive: The way the diverse stories are knitted together into one cohesive movie about 5 brokenhearted women is an achievement. “Camp Sawi” triumphs in making the audience relate to any of the five leads by establishing the story of each character in a semi-serious place-setting opening then shifts to a hilarious middle and concludes in a feel-good ending. The glossy cinematography complements the beauty of the lead stars making such an eye-candy of a movie.

Arci Muñoz shows how she became an A-lister by bringing her own quirky personality in her character. Everyone had their moments to shine in the film but Arci, I believe, stands out.

The Negative:

Some people may find this female-driven film a little feminist as it mostly portrays women as the victims of failed relationships and men as heartbreakers.
