Kapamilya sensational tandem Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla celebrated their 5th year anniversary as a love team at ABS-CBN Center Stage on Friday, September 16.

The intimate gathering dubbed as Appreciation Night Celebrating 5 Years of KathNiel was organized by KathNiel Solidarity—the official fan club of Kath and DJ since they started as onscreen sweethearts in 2012.

Kath and DJ greeted their fans when they arrived at the venue.

At the event, the young stars gave a heartwarming message to all their loyal supporters, “First of all, gusto kong mag-thank you sa KathNiel Solidarity. Thank you so much po for making tonight possible. And of course our bosses are also here. Tita Malou, our director Inang Olivia Lamasan and all the clients. Lahat nang andito ngayon. Grabe ang daming pumunta. Thank you so much for coming. And syempre lahat ng fan groups [na pumunta]. Happy 5th year anniversary. Grabe, limang taon na tayong mag-kakasama. Maraming, maraming salamat. Solid kayo!” Kathryn exclaimed. “Sa lahat ng nakasama namin sa limang taon. Thank you dahil naging parte kayo ng buhay namin,” Daniel added.

Daniel’s mom Karla Estrada prepared a funny message for KathNiel who just finished another groundbreaking movie in their 5th year anniversary. “Ipinagmamalaki ko itong pelikulang Barcelona: A Love Untold dahil ako mismo nagulat, nag-init ang ulo ko, na-high blood ako doon sa kissing scene na hindi sinabi sa’kin. So isa ako sa mga nagulat. Ganon pala [‘yung pakiramdam] na first time mong makita ‘yung anak mo na humalik ng ibang babae,” Karla jokingly said.

Mommy Karla also added a message addressed to all the solid fans of KathNiel, “Salamat sa inyong lahat dahil hindi kayo bumitaw mula sa simula kasama tayo ni Kathryn at Daniel sa kanilang journey. Marami pa silang matututunan in the future, oo naman, pero I am sure lagi silang inspired and motivated dahil andito tayo, dahil andyan kayo na laging naka-suporta sakanila. Mahal na mahal kayo ng KathNiel. Hindi dahil [sa] mahal nyo sila. Mahal nila kayo dahil mahal nila kayo. Because that is what you all deserve.”

KathNiel’s 5th year anniversary celebration ended with a special screening of Barcelona held at ABS-CBN’s Dolphy Theater.
