Vic Sotto Airs Disappointment in MMFF Committee

This is the first time that Vic Sotto’s famous movie Enteng Kabisote will not be shown in theatres on Christmas day at Metro Manila Film Festival 2016.
At the press conference of the 10th sequel of Vic’s movie entitled Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers, the veteran comedian expressed his disappointment in the new system of MMFF. enteng-kabisote-10“Ang masakit lang para sa akin hindi nila nirespeto ang panlasang ‘yun ng manonood ng pelikulang Pilipino.”“Nirerespeto ko ‘yung mga pelikulang kasama sa festival ngayon gaya ng Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2. Ako napanood ko ‘yung first noon…Pero sana man lang nagsama sila ng puwedeng panoorin ng bata,” Bossing adds.Before the movie conference ends, Vic Sotto uttered a serious statement that seemingly addressed to the committee of the much-anticipated annual film festival: “Wag mo isubo sa amin ‘yung hindi namin gustong kainin pag dating ng Noche Buena.”
MMFF finally woke up and nominated high-quality films this year. Awards should go to award worthy films and not cheap flicks like this.
Maybe soon people will finally take Filipino films seriously.
