Start the year with a movie-watching habit of the most critically-acclaimed and box office hits from around the globe every weekend this January via CinemaWorld on SKYCable.

Thriller Fridays offers exciting and suspenseful movies ready to keep you on the edge of your seat. Go along the ride as detectives figure out who killed a little girl on “Eva Blond: The Sixth Sense” on January 6 at 10 PM. A serial killer who chops up women is back from the dead, or is he? Find out in “The Soul of Evil” on January 13, 10 PM. Meanwhile, a woman discovers her partner is not really who he says he is in “Criminal Past,” January 20, 10 PM. And on January 27, watch an ex-cop clear his name in “Death List” at 10 PM.

Watch premium, award-winning movies from highly regarded film festivals – Venice, Cannes, Toronto, etc. – every weekend on Festival Picks Saturday. This month’s picks include Aida Begic’s “Children of Sarajevo,” a drama which follows the lives of two orphans from the Bosnian war. Oscar nominee Berenice Bejo stars in “24 Hours in the Life of a Woman,” a movie chronicling three stories of love from different time periods. Then there’s “The Buffalo Boy,” a story of a young Vietnamese boy learning friendship from an unlikely group as they escape the floods. Meanwhile, “In Your Wake” follows the reconnection of an estranged father and son and their dream of putting up a “bar like no other.” Catch these films every Saturday of January at 9 PM.

Cap your weekend with movies from some of the best storytellers in the world with See the World Sundays. On January 8, 9 PM, watch brothers Adi and Rudi take charge of sportswear empires, Adidas and Puma, and take their sibling rivalry to a whole other level on “That’s the Name of the Game.” January 15 sees the premiere of “Dark Diamond,” a story of family and vengeance. A son tries to avenge his father’s death against the family that turned them away. “The Man from Oran” (January 22) follows two friends in newly independent Algeria and how betrayal will take them apart. The month ends with a comedy, “My Internship in Canada,” on January 29, at 9 PM. An independent Canadian MP travels his district with his family and Haitian intern as he tries to discern whether to send his country to war or not.
