Xia Vigor’s Taylor Swift Impersonation in ‘Your Face Kids’ Makes International Headlines

Child star Xia Vigor’s impersonation of pop star Taylor Swift in the top-rating show “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” is making waves across the globe and has gotten the attention of various foreign news outlets, including Huffington Post, and the online sites of TIME and Billboard magazines.

People magazine called the impersonation “spot-on,” while British tabloid The Daily Mail described her performance as “extraordinary” and “pitch-perfect.”

Teen Vogue also noted Xia’s “incredible display of showmanship,” while MTV said Taylor herself would be proud of Xia’s performance of her hit “Your Belong With Me.”

The performance was also featured in sites such as Mashable, Refinery 29, Cosmopolitan, JustJared, and caught the attention of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

Xia’s video has so far garnered 2.8 million videos, and is currently the number one trending video on YouTube Philippines.

“Your Face Kids,” now the most watched weekend program in the country, continues to charm viewers with its performers’ cute transformations. Based on data from Kantar Media, its episode last Saturday (Jan 14) garnered a national TV rating of 34.2%, beating GMA’s “Magpakailanman,” which only recorded 20.6%. Its Sunday (Jan 15) episode also got 35.4%, almost 18 points higher than “Tsuperhero’s” 17.5%.

This weekend (Jan 21 and 22), Xia will transform into a male artist for the first time as he copies rocker Axl Rose. Also, don’t miss the performances of Lyca Gairanod as Jessa Zaragoza, Justin Alva as Francis Magalona, Alonzo Muhlach as Justin Bieber, Sam Shoaf as Elvis Presley, Elha Nympha as Meghan Trainor, AC Bonifacio as Jessie J, and Awra Briguela as Rihanna.
