Thrills of the Week: ‘The Apparition,’ ‘Fear of Darkness,’ and ‘The Diabolical

Have you ever tried looking at the rear view mirror while driving through Balete drive at night? Or have you ever gone ghost hunting with your friends and actually saw some kind of paranormal activity?

The Apparition

Everyone has all had their fair share of scary stories, whether it’s the story of the infamous “White Lady” or the “Manananggal”, the Filipino’s supernatural beliefs will never fail to give the chills at night. No matter how scared people are of these stories, everyone enjoys listening to them.

Whether you are a believer or non-believer, you deserve the best in non-stop scares. That is why Thrill is putting the fun back in fear by showing four scream-worthy films for the whole month of March.

Get haunted by Todd Lincon’s “The Apparition” on March 13. Four college students, Patrick, Lydia, Ben and Greg perform a college experiment on a deceased man. They summon the spirit of the man, which haunts Ben and his girlfriend, Kelly.

The Diabolical

Gather your family for the March 20 premiere of “The Diabolical”. A single mother and her two young children are tormented by paranormal occurrences. She reaches out to parapsychologists but no one is willing to help. Her scientist boyfriend decides to step in and take on the paranormal forces.

Fear of Darkness

Prepare to go lights out on March 27 because Christopher Fitchett’s The Fear of Darkness invades your TV screens. The story is centered on a psychiatrist who is forced to confront the dark creature that lives deep in her own subconscious mind while she investigates the supernatural disappearance of a university student.
