‘The Greatest Love’ Reflects Experiences of Ordinary Filipino Families

The story of Gloria in “The Greatest Love” proved that a mother’s love is more than enough to keep her family intact, just like in any ordinary Filipino families, where mothers serve as guiding light for their children.

However, life is not always easy for most families, just like the Allegres. Their family was put to test as secrets from the past haunted their present lives. But Gloria’s love and sacrifices helped her children Amanda (Dimples Romana), Paeng (Aaron Villaflor), Andrei (Matt Evans), at Lizelle (Andi Eigenmann) to come together and mend their hearts, despite their differences.

She also showed bravery as she fought for her one true love Peter (Nonie Buencamino) and proved that nothing can go between people who were destined for each other.

After all the struggles she faced, Gloria symbolized the courage and strength that mothers have for their families. She did not give up until she was able to give the life her family deserves.

Now that the family she struggled to keep intact is finally complete, her children give her the love and care that she needs as she faces her own battle with Alzheimer’s disease. They fill her with joy and remind her of all the wonderful memories they had.

However, fate continued to play against them as Peter died unexpectedly, bringing sorrow to their family.

How will the Allegres ease the pain with Peter’s death? What will happen to Gloria now that his beloved husband passed away?
