‘Mukha’ Features Stories of Filipino Youth Who Have Shown Strength in Mind and in Spirit

Award-winning documentary series “Mukha” on ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel revisits its best features this month as it celebrates its milestone of producing 200 stories that show the lives and faces of different Filipinos in the program.

On the third episode of its “Mukha 200” month-long special airing this Wednesday (February 21), anchor Tony Velasquez will bring back the stories of Filipino youth who have shown strength in mind and in spirit.

They include young clothespin assembler Rouie Pordan, 15-year old mother ‘Ana,’ fast food commercial star “Kuya Pao,” who starred in a film on people with Down Syndrome, and JB Aragones, whose journey towards manhood began when he underwent circumcision.

“Mukha” followed these young Filipinos in their respective journeys of growth and transformation, where their innocence and courage were both on display.

A program produced by ABS-CBN Docucentral, “Mukha” has won and has received nominations in prestigious award giving bodies, including a Silver Dolphin for Best Documentary under Current Affairs, Human Concerns, and Social Issues Category at the 7th edition of the Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards.

It is also among ABS-CBN’s four nominees in the 2018 New York Festival’s World’s Best TV & Films competition for its entry “Di Ka Pasisiil” in the Current Affairs category.
