Jeepney TV Brings in Anime Action with Hero Zone

Jeepney TV brings thrilling anime action to the cable channel as it launches the Hero Zone block starting this Sunday (March 11), with the airing of the Japanese motorsport “Initial D” movie trilogy and back-to-back episodes of “Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V.”

The new Hero Zone block features two hours of nonstop action with the best anime series and movies. Its premier offerings include “Initial D” about an accidental street racer and his challenges to be the ultimate road legend, and the exciting Japanese series “Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V” featuring a son’s journey to become one of the world’s best duel-trainers.

Meanwhile, Korean black comedy “Heard It Through the Grapevine” also premieres on Jeepney TV this month, starring Yoo Jun-sang, Yoo Ho-jeong, Go Ah-sung, and Lee Joon. A weathy couple’s son impregnates his girlfriend from an ordinary family, to the dismay of his family. Find out how the pregnant girl faces isolation from her family and humiliation for the sake of her child’s future.

Saturdays get more romantic on Jeepney TV as it airs the Korean drama “Mask” for the first time. “Easily one of the best Korean dramas of 2015,” according to kdramalove.com, it stars Soo Ae, Ju Ji-hoon, Yeon Jung-hoon, and Yoo In-young, with Soo Ae in two characters, poor girl Ji Sook Byun and her doppelganger, Eun Ha Seo, daughter of a rich Congressman.

It is Primetime King Coco Martin’s turn to become the JTV Icon of the Month. Viewers get to go back to the journey of the actor in JTV Star Showcase, and his exciting beginnings with not just one but three series airing on the channel: action series “Agimat: Tonyong Bayawak” and “Juan dela Cruz,”’ and hit drama “Walang Hanggan.”

Catch the best of anime in Hero Zone, Sundays at 10am-12nn; “Grapevine” Mondays thru Thursdays at 9pm; “Mask” every Saturday starting March 10, and JTV Icon of the Month: Coco Martin, all Sundays of March at 7:30pm. “Meteor Garden” continues every weeknight at 7pm, and “A Love To Last,” also on weeknights at 8pm.
