‘Sin Island: The Director’s Cut’ Premieres on SKY Movies PPV

“Sin Island,” the movie that got tinseltown talking for its steamy scenes, is making an early television premiere on SKY Movies Pay-Per-View, this time, via its even hotter version, “The Director’s Cut.”

The second offering of Star Cinema for the year is about how an affair shattered the ideal lives of married couple David (Xian Lim), a successful photographer, and Kanika (Coleen Garcia), a flight attendant. Things get even more complicated when the seductive Tasha (Nathalie Hart) enters the picture.

Edgy, dark, and risqué in equal measure, the movie seeks to answer the perennial question, “can marriage survive infidelity?”

This rare cinematic treat from SKY was Star Cinema’s Valentine offering and is its sexiest in years, with Xian Lim taking on his very first ‘mature role.” Lim has been known for his romantic comedies with love team partner, Kim Chiu.

“Sin Island”’s original run at the cinemas was given an R-16 rating by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) with no scenes deleted.

Witness this movie fresh from the cinemas plus a bonus movie “The Ghost Bride,” a blockbuster horror movie rooted in Tsinoy tradition.

“The Ghost Bride” tells the story of Mayen (Kim Chiu), who agrees to become a ‘ghost bride’ so she can marry a dead person in exchange for money. However, strange things start happening when the spirit of the man starts becoming possessive of her.

Star Cinema on SKY PPV will air the Director’s Cut as a limited offer to One SKY, SKYcable, and SKYdirect subscribers from April 6 to 27 for only P99.
