Meet the Familiar Faces of New Netflix Series ‘Insatiable’

Insatiable, a dark comedy starring Debby Ryan, Dallas Roberts, and Alyssa Milano, premiered on Netflix on Friday, Aug. 10. Before you start binge-watching it, get to know the characters and find out where you’ve seen the cast before!

Debby Ryan (Patty)

Ryan plays the lead role of Patty, who, for years, has been bullied, ignored, and underestimated by those around her because of her weight. But now that she finds herself suddenly thin, Patty is out for payback against anyone who has ever made her feel bad about herself. Before graduating to darker, more mature roles, Ryan was a Disney darling, having done major work on TV series The Suite Life on Deck and Jessie (she was the star!), and the TV movie 16 Wishes.

Dallas Roberts (Bob Armstrong)

Roberts plays Bob Armstrong, a disgraced attorney whose true passion is coaching beauty pageant contestants. He is the only one who sees Patty’s potential, and takes her under his wing━first as a legal client, and then as a pageant contestant whom he coaches toward becoming the top pageant queen in the country. Dallas’s most popular roles to date are as Milton Mamet, scientist/right-hand man of the Governor, on The Walking Dead; and as Owen, brother of Juliana Margulies’s Alicia Florrick, on The Good Wife.

Alyssa Milano (Coralee Armstrong)

Milano plays Bob Armstrong’s wife, a lady who has a secret of her own that she desperately wants to stay hidden. Depending on whom you ask, Milano is arguably the most popular member of the cast, having starred in fan favorite series Who’s the Boss?, the original Melrose Place, and the first Charmed. She’s also known for her TV stints on Mistresses and My Name is Earl, and Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.

Christopher Gorham, above right (Bob Barnard)

Gorham plays Bob Armstrong’s rival Bob Barnard, the district attorney who seems to have it all. Gorham is yet another very familiar face, having starred in the ’90s cult favorite, short-lived series Popular, as well as in fan-favorites Felicity and Once Upon a Time. He was also on popular spy series Covert Affairs.

Arden Myrin, leftmost (Regina)

Regina is the overly competitive mom of beauty pageant mainstay Dixie (played by Irene Choi). She is played by Myrin, who’s best known as a cast member of sketch show MadTV. Myrin other credits include recurring/guest stints on Orange is the New Black, Shameless, Fresh Off the Boat, 2 Broke Girls, Party Down, and Hung.

Irene Choi (Dixie)

Dixie is a beauty pageant contestant client of Bob Armstrong’s. Strong-willed and petty, Dixie, as played by Choi, is one of the show’s scene-stealers. Prior to Insatiable, Choi has had guest appearances on Community and Mozart in the Jungle.

Kimmie Shields, left (Nonnie)

Shields plays Patty’s best friend, Nonnie. Unbeknownst to both of them, Nonnie is in love with Patty. Before landing the role of Nonnie, Shields did Girlboss and Big Little Lies.

Erin Westbrook (Magnolia Barnard)

Westbrook plays the beauty queen-to-beat Magnolia, daughter of Bob Barnard. Before landing the role of Magnolia, Westbrook was best known for portraying cheerleader Bree on Glee, and Gabby Richards on Awkward.

Michael Provost (Brick)

Brick is the popular boy in school who’s the object of Patty’s affections. He’s also Coralee and Bob Armstrong’s son and the boyfriend of Magnolia, daughter of Bob Armstrong’s rival Bob Barnard. His past projects include an appearance on #RealityHigh.

James Lastovic, right (Christian)

Christian is a mysterious new boy in school who pursues Patty. Lastovic’s past projects include the long-running U.S. soap opera Days of Our Lives.

Insatiable is now streaming only on Netflix.
