Vlogger Laureen Gets an iWant Original Show

Fashion and travel vlogger Laureen Uy is living her dream of jet setting around the world and dressing up in Instagram-worthy outfits, but in her iWant original show “Laureen on a Budget,” she is daring herself to pull off different challenges without breaking the bank.

“Every episode, I do a certain challenge with a special guest. That is why I have been filming a lot with my vlogger besties, Raymond (Gutierrez), my siblings, and everyone who is close to me,” Laureen teased in a video on her YouTube channel.

“Laureen on a Budget” chronicles the popular vlogger’s adventures as she shows viewers the art of saving and staying within budget without compromising style and comfort. From redecorating a room to putting together a stylish ensemble, Laureen dives headfirst into fun challenges, while staying within a P999 budget.

“’Yung maximum budget is always P999, but I don’t have to spend all of it. The lower I spend, the better,” she shared.

Laureen also revealed that the challenges she has so far done in the show are difficult and exciting, such as building an entire wardrobe from scratch and a makeup challenge.

iWant users can also expect the country’s top vloggers and social media influencers like Camille Co, Kryz Uy, BJ Pascual, Liz Uy, Vince Uy, and beauty queen Michele Gumabao as guests of the show’s episodes.

In the first episode, Laureen teams up with YouTube vloggers Camille and Kryz as they scour a thrift shop to score classic and trendy pieces to build an entire wardrobe, while in the second episode, Laureen visits the artsy streets of Escolta with BJ, the country’s sought-after lensman, for a glam, budget-friendly photoshoot. Laureen also shares some fashionable tricks of the DIY (do-it-yourself) trade on how to create eye-catching outfits using raw materials with her college bestie Katrina Loring, and heads to the heart of Tutuban to find a gown fit for a debut party with Michele. Besides style challenges, “Laureen on a Budget” also features a special three-course meal cook-off of the Uy siblings.

Meanwhile, iWant is currently the most in-demand app for Filipino iOS and Android users as it reached more than one million mobile app downloads on the first day of its official launch on Saturday (November 17), as users scrambled to experience the all-new iWant, its original films and series, and its diverse library of content.

The new iWant app also quickly soared to the number one spot on both the App Store and Google Play’s free apps, and is also the most downloaded entertainment app on Google Play.

Viewers may start streaming “Laureen on a Budget” for free on the new iWant to users in the country in iOS and Android apps and through the web. Those who already have the iWant TV app on their devices simply need to update to the new version.
