South Korea’s Jeon Jung-kook, the center of the K-pop boyband BTS, emerged as the winner of our month-long online poll in search of 100 Sexiest Men in the World for the year 2018.

Better known mononymously as Jungkook, the 21-year-old singer bested 99 other celebrities around the world which include TV series stars, K-pop artists, sports personalities, models, and movie actors. He garnered a total of 2,927,537 votes from the combined results of Facebook, Twitter, and online polls during the Final 6 (votes from Instagram were declared void because of an app that can generate thousands of likes in seconds).

It was not an easy win for Jungkook as he faced tough competition against Thai actor Krist Perawat who got a very close 2,882,191 votes. The “Sotus” star topped our Facebook poll with 1,357,319 points as his photo was shared 458,400 times on the said social media platform. Jungkook, on the other hand, ruled the online ballots and the Twitter poll.

Placing third overall is Filipino actor Alden Richards who got a total of 638,099 votes. The “Victor Magtanggol” star was the winner of our wildcard poll. Last September, Alden topped the 12th edition of “100 Sexiest Men in the Philippines” to become the only Kapuso star to win the title. He defeated three-time titleholder James Reid during the finals.

In fourth place is EXO center Kim Jong-in, popularly known as Kai. He garnered a total of 466,119 votes. The K-pop star, by the way, won the online poll “Sexiest Man in Korea 2018” last November 3, 2018.

In fifth place is male supermodel Pietro Boselli from Italy.

And in sixth place is Hollywood actor Chris Pine from the United States.
