BTS’ Little Brother Group TXT Makes History on Billboard and The Show

Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai–collectively known as TXT and the little brother group of worldwide phenomenon BTS–became the fastest K-pop group in history to win on The Show.

In just 8 days after their debut, TXT had their first win on the SBS MTV music show “The Show” on Tuesday, March 12. Their song “Crown” bested (G)I-DLE’s “Senorita” and LOONA’s “Butterfly” by getting a total score of 7,190 points.

On the other hand, TXT now holds the record of having the highest-charting debut album by any male K-Pop group in history on the Billboard chart. Their first album “The Dream Chapter: Star” entered the chart at no. 140 which also makes them the fastest K-Pop group ever to enter the Billboard 200.

Furthermore, TXT had topped Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart, making them the most popular developing artist in the US for the week ending on March 16. Their single “Crown” also debuted at No. 1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, and their album “The Dream Chapter: Star” debuted at no. 1 of the World Album chart.

Their other songs also charted on the World Digital Song Sales chart with “Blue Orangeade” at No. 10, “Cat & Dog” at No. 14 and “Our Summer” at No. 17.
