Alessandra de Rossi Plays Drug-Pusher in ‘Ipaglaban Mo’

Alessandra de Rossi gathers all her strength to prove her innocence after being accused of drug-pushing, in her role as Josie, a caring mother of three, and loving wife in this Saturday’s (March 30) “Ipaglaban Mo” episode fighting for truth and life.

Josie helps Danny (Christopher Roxas) sustain their livelihood by selling rice and keeping their home in order, no matter how hard life gets. Danny gets a painting job in Pangasinan and tells hi longtime friend Briggs (Ping Medina) to look after his family while he is away even with news around their community of Briggs drug-dealing activities.

Despite the news, Danny is unmoved and continues to trust Briggs. Josie’s will to survive is put to the test when one of their children gets sick and Danny is unable to provide for the family. She thinks of going to Briggs as a last resort.

One day, Josie gets arrested by policemen after Briggs tells them she had the buy-bust money from an earlier operation where he got caught. During a search of Josie’s home, they find marijuana and the buy-bust money, leading both arresting officers PO3 Consuelo (Jun Nayra) and (Dunhill Banzon) SPO1 Banzon to testify against Josie and Briggs.

As both Josie and Briggs deny the allegations, Briggs begins to tell authorities that Danny is the real culprit. In the end, Josie and Briggs are sentenced to death.

Josie and Danny now feel the world closing in on them. They do everything to reverse the death sentence on penalty and fight together as a family, believing that the truth will eventually come out for Josie’s sake.

How will the court get find out the truth behind Briggs dealings with the police? Will Josie be absolved and set free?
