Alden Richards has been voted by netizens as the “Sexiest Man in the Philippines” for the year 2019!

This is the second year in a row that the Kapuso star topped Starmometer’s online poll for gauging the hottest male celebrities in the country. The poll started last September 2 after we announced the 10 finalists from hundreds of nominees. The selection was based on the following criteria: 30% charm, 40% physique, and 30% popularity index (visibility in the last 12 months).

Richards, who recently won the Asian Star Prize at the Seould International Drama Awards and currently starring in the new primetime series “The Gift,” bested 9 other finalists in the online poll by garnering 56.9% of the votes.

King of Hearts Daniel Padilla settled for second place by garnering 11.91% of the votes during the final poll. Finishing third is the star of the upcoming drama “Make It with You in Croatia” (working title), Enrique Gil, who got 10.57% of the votes.

Taking the fourth position is the star of “Descendants of the Sun,” Dingdong Dantes. Three-time titleholder James Reid took the 5th spot.
