Weekend nights just started to get brighter as the world premiere of two-in-one talent reality competition “Your Moment” recorded high ratings and wowed viewers nationwide with its electrifying local and foreign acts.
The show’s world premiere garnered a national TV rating of 28.9% versus “The Clash’s” 16.4% last Saturday (November 9), according to data from Kantar Media. Audiences continued to watch “Your Moment” on Sunday (November 10), which recorded a national TV rating of 26.3% compared to “The Clash’s” 17.4%.
The first two episodes welcomed viewers into the state-of-the-art revolving set that offers the studio audience views of both the dancing and singing stages, as well as the emotion meter used byjudges Billy Crawford, Nadine Lustre, and Boy Abunda to input their scores for each performance.
Winning dancing acts Ruthless Comrades of Taytay, Rizal and Kenyo Street Fam of Bulacan, meanwhile, showed how camaraderie and teamwork made their acts and performances more cohesive. Also capturing viewers’ attention and emotion were the winning singing acts Lez 2 Men, the lesbian trio from Cainta, Rizal, and Indonesian duo The Dens Gonjalez shaking up the stage with their rock and roll.
Meanwhile, “Your Moment’s” highly esteemed hosts, judges, and production value were also the talk of the town the whole weekend as positive comments continued to pour online during its world premiere. In fact, the show already trended on Twitter on the morning of its world premiere.
“Hosts Vhong and Luis – perfect partners. Judges Tito Boy, Billy, and Nadine – ewan ko na lang kung may masasabi pa kayo sa lineup na ‘to. Ang lalakas ng comment, napakatalino at napaka-honest. Syempre pang grand finals and buong production set from lightings to camera angles at stage. #ItoDapatAngShow #ItoAngWorldClass,” shared Jepoy Talks on YouTube.
Netizens also shared which elements they loved about the new weekend show, like Twitter user @jayestagram who tweeted, “What I love about your moment is ‘yung transparency ng scores ng judges per moment.” As for user @ClosetedFan, “What I love so far about the acts too: they aren’t all somewhat the same. Like the first three dance groups each had something unique and not just all hiphop groups. The first 3 singing groups were all different from each other too.”
Twitter user @MASosyolohiya also commended the show’s “fast pacing” saying, “No dull moments! Great performers! Sensible judges! Witty hosts! Technically superb! Congratulations, Your Moment! Bravo!”
User Miguel Apa also added on YouTube, “Your Moment. Talent-reality show na walang okrayan, which is very good. Just pure!”
Aside from watching TV, fans also tuned in to “Your Moment’s” online show which featured hosts Sharlene San Pedro, AC Bonifacio, Matty Juniosa of “Idol Philippines,” and Dawn Chang, who joined the show live via Skype from Australia.
