Last year, netizens voted for South Korea’s “100 Days My Prince” starring EXO member Do Kyung-Soo as the Asian Drama of the Year (2018) beating China’s “Meteor Garden.” This year, which drama series will the chosen by couch potatoes from across the globe as the year’s ultimate favorite in the region?

Welcome to Asian Drama Awards 2019. This second edition of the global online poll aims to recognize the finest and most popular TV dramas produced throughout Asia (China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, and ASEAN countries) from November 2018 to November 2019. It will also recognize the most popular Asian drama actors and actresses who made an impact in the region via their drama series.

Here are the mechanics of the online poll for “Asian Drama of the Year.”

1. The shortlist or the Top 40 Asian dramas will be revealed. The selection was based on the following criteria: Production quality – 50%; Popularity Index 50% (global appeal).
2. The 12 finalists will be revealed on November 24, 2019.
3. After the 12 finalists have been announced, we will open the poll for netizens around the world to choose their favorite and vote.
4. The drama with the highest votes will be named 2019’s Asian Drama of the Year.
