GMA’s ‘Meant To Be’ and ‘Kara Mia’ Premiere in Malaysia and Myanmar

GMA Worldwide, Inc. (GWI), content distribution arm of GMA Network brings two of its top-rating primetime dramas starring GMA artist Barbie Forteza to Malaysia and Myanmar.

The romance comedy Meant To Be will air on Malaysia’s TV Okey starting December 23, 2019, Monday to Thursday, on the 12 Noon to 1 P.M. timeslot. Meant To Be is about four guys of different racial and cultural backgrounds who fall in love with the same girl (Forteza). They try to woo the girl by showing her different languages of love.

Another drama starring Barbie Forteza will also premiere this December in Myanmar. The 2019 fantasy drama Kara Mia will air daily on the MWD Documentary Channel beginning December 27 on its primetime block. Kara Mia was a viewer favorite when it originally aired and made the rounds on social media even before its launch on Philippine television. It tells the story of twin sisters who grow up as unique individuals, each with her own face and mind but who are trapped in one body due to a rare genetic malformation. Viewers were drawn to the curious premise of the series, and the dramatic portrayal of Barbie as Kara, and Mika Dela Cruz as her twin, Mia.

Barbie, dubbed as GMA’s primetime princess also starred in other hit series including 2018 hit Happy Together and more recently, in the daytime series Wagas: Wait, Is This Love? For inquiries, email gwi@gmanetwork.com
