Cinema One Celebrates 15th Year Via Sine Sindak in Eastwood

In celebration of Cinema One’s 15th year anniversary, it gave its avid viewers an early halloween treat – Sine Sindak sa Eastwood!

Two shrill-jerking horror films were shown: the Cinema One Original Yanggaw starring Urian Best Actor Ronnie Lazaro, multi-awarded Techie Agbayani and Joel Torre plus another spook-filled film Shake, Rattle and Roll 2K5 final segment Lihim ng San Joaquin starring Tanya Garcia, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Elizabeth Oropesa, Noni Buencamino, Ronnie Lazaro and Pen Medina.
Kapamilya stars and celebrities who braved the night were Megan Young, Joem Bascon, Victor Basa, Dimples Romana, PFF’s Ram Sagad, Mark Abaya, Isabel Roces, Brent Javier and featured film Yanggaw’s cast and crew including director Richard Somes and actors Ronnie Lazaro and Aleera Montalla.
Aside from these two spine tingling films, three of the hottest Pinoy bands – MYMP, Duster and Sandwich – rendered hair tickling performances while guests were able to play cool games with the celebrities. Comedians Tuesday Vargas and John Lapus brought the house down with their hosting.
An added bonus was also free fortune telling and tarot card reading for those who bought issues of select ABS-CBN Publishing magazines.

Cinema One’s Sine Sindak sa Eastwood Tonight

Spirits will rise as the number one cable channel in the Philippines brings you, Sine Sindak sa Eastwood, a free movie screening plus celebrity appearances, band performances at the Eastwood Central Plaza on October 29 at 6pm. As part of Cinema One’s 15th anniversary celebration, expect a Halloween treat for all fun-seeking souls.
Two highly acclaimed horror films will be shown namely the Cinema One Original Yanggaw starring Urian Best Actor Ronnie Lazaro, multi-awarded Techie Agbayani and Joel Torre plus another spook-filled film Shake, Rattle and Roll 2K5 final segment Lihim ng San Joaquin starring Tanya Garcia, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Elizabeth Oropesa, Noni Buencamino, Ronnie Lazaro and Pen Medina.
Yanggaw is a horror film written and directed by Richard Somes. It is a story of an ordinary family who lives in a tiny village where superstitions and dark beliefs are still alive in the hearts and minds of the people. Junior’s (Lazaro) daughter Amor (Aleera Montalla) comes home with a strange illness that the local doctors cannot diagnose. To Junior, his wife Inday (Agbayani) and his family’s horror, they find out that her sickness and the bloody incidents happening in their village are inextricably linked to each other, which is under the investigation of their friend, Dulpo (Torre).
Lihim ng San Joaquin is a horror film where a couple, portrayed by Mark Anthony Fernandez and Tanya Garcia, transferred to a hidden barrio. Eventually, the couple discovers about the frightening secret that their barrio has that puts their whole family in frightening jeopardy.
Aside from these two spine tingling films which will definitely send goose bumps to viewers, three of the hottest Pinoy bands – MYMP, Duster and Sandwich – will render their hair tickling performances. Eerily funny comedians Tuesday Vargas and John Lapus will serve as hosts for the night.
Plus, there will also be free fortune telling who will buy a copy of the November issues of select ABS-CBN Publishing magazines.

Kapuso Telebabad Stars Join Maskkara Festival

The beautiful faces of GMA Network’s Telebabad (primetime) shows will take time off to join Bacoleños in celebrating the colorful and most-anticipated 2009 Masskara Festival.
It is bound to be another weekend to remember as no less than Rhian Ramos, TJ Trinidad, Mark Herras, and Katrina Halili head the line-up of Kapuso Stars who will be in Bacolod City for the mardi gras celebration.
Rhian and TJ are presently seen in the Pinoy adaptation of Stairway to Heaven wherein they portray the roles of Jodi and Tristan, respectively. Mark, meanwhile, is one of the main characters in the dramatic series’ Ikaw Sana. Katrina, on the other hand, reprises the villain role of Fedra in Rosalinda.
On Saturday, October 17, first stop for Rhian and TJ will be Brgy. Sum-ag Gym in Bacolod City at 11a.m. Rhian and TJ will help distribute GMA school bags and supplies to 100 student-beneficiaries of the Kapuso Outreach Program. This program is part of the Kapuso Volunteerism Project of the Network in the regions where Kapuso Stars have been actively taking part of.
The TV screen idols will then head for the Kapuso Fiesta Mall Show at SM City Bacolod. There will be on-ground games and activities, with sponsors’ booths opening at 1p.m. to kick-off the Kapuso activities. The mall show will begin at 5p.m.
On Monday, GMA Network will participate in the Charter Day Grand Parade which will traverse the main streets of Bacolod City, starting at 7AM.
Another Kapuso Telebabad experience awaits Bacolod City this weekend at the 2009 Masskara Festival.
Bacolod City is Kapamilya Karavan’s Next Stop

ABS-CBN Regional Network Group’s Kapamilya Karavan joins in the revelry with a unique celebration of Bacolod City’s annual Masskara festival this coming October 16 and 17 at the Gaisano Mall.
Also called the City of Smiles, Bacolod City boasts of the colorful ‘Masskara’ which was taken from the words ‘mass’ meaning ‘many or a multitude of people’ and the Spanish word ‘cara’ meaning ‘face.’ One of the most known features of the festival is that the participants wear masks which are all smiling, thus Masskara means ‘a multitude of smiling face.’
With back-to-back ABS-CBN events – the Kapamilya Karavan and the ‘Pista ng mga Bata’ medical mission, jobs fair, barrangayan – no doubt that Ilonggos will be smiling non-stop for two consecutive days!
