Pinoy Big Brother Double UP Update: New Housemate Sam Catches the Eye of the PBB Boys while House A and House B face-off again.

New housemate Sam Pinto seems to be following “Pinoy Big Brother” season 1 housemate Sam Milby’s footsteps. The 19-year old model is a heartthrob in the making just days after she entered the PBB house with Rocky Salumbides.

Female Sam instantly attracted a lot of attention from House B boys Hermes and Rob. Hermes had his eyes glued on Sam since she entered the house while Rob seemed very interested about the young lady’s love life. Rocky, meanwhile, has begun to show his goofy and naughty side by joking around and telling stories to his housemates.

Sam and Rocky also got to see the people from House A as the face-off challenges continue between House A and B. This week’s task, called the “Skilling Bee,” aims to showcase the various skills of each group. The first team to win three games will bag the upcoming week’s budget and also get to cast an automatic nomination to one housemate from the losing house.

In the first face-off challenge called “It’s Showchoir,” judge Vice Ganda favored House B’s performance of the Tagalog version of “Insomia.” Vice said Melay and Jason made the rest of their housemates appear like back-up singers.

For the second challenge, the PBB house went Iron Chef-mode as the houses used their cooking skills to come up with an appetizer, main course, and dessert using the durian fruit.

House A faced a few bumps early in the challenge like when Jason committed a violation by prematurely taking off his blindfold when the boys were picking the vegetables. They also weren’t able to get meat for the dish they had to prepare.

The addition of the new housemates came after a series of unexpected exits in the program, which is now on its seventh week. JP Lagumbay and Princess left the Big Brother house voluntarily while JM Lagumbay, Kenny and Toffi Santos, Yhel, and Tom were forcibly evicted. Only Jimson and Delio came out the house through a regular eviction.

Rocky is a 29-year old international model who turned his back on fame for his current relationship with a woman he calls “Pag-ibig.” Sam on the other hand, is a teen head turner who for the first time will live away from the comfort of her family’s care.

With a teleserye-like life, Rocky came from a broken family and grew up inside the Villamor Airbase, where her mom was part of the football team. With no money, Rocky and his siblings would often feed on junk food to pass the day. To help out, he also took a variety of jobs like construction worker, balut vendor, bakal tingga boy, and forklift operator.

It was during PBB Celebrity Edition 1 when Rocky first auditioned, but then a great modeling opportunity in Singapore took him elsewhere.

Sam Pinto, on the other hand, came from a well-off family. Like Rocky, her parents also separated when she was young. Her father has another family now. Sam, who started modeling at ten years old, used to wish for her parents to be reunited but she soon realized she must get used to the idea that her parents are now living separate lives. Now that she has bloomed to a beautiful woman, she has become an in demand TV commercial model as well.

Sam and Rocky got a taste of Kuya’s tasks early when Big Brother asked them to return the clothes of the original House B members. However, they can only bring in the clothes that they can wear.

The days of Tom Mott in “Pinoy Big Brother Double Up” are now over. The Romantic Stud of Samar left the Big Brother house live on Saturday (Nov 14) via a forced eviction due to a violation he did during last week’s “Pinoy Big Battle.”

Frustrated with another loss, Tom punched holes on a wall in the activity area right after the third face-off game between House A and House B. It is against the house rules to become violent inside the house.

The stud expressed his regrets to Big Brother and said he just got carried away by his emotions that time. Tom also had not been feeling well after the second game of the battle, when he complained of a headache and even vomited. Soon after the wall incident, he was rushed to the hospital, where he was confined for 22 hours. Fortunately, he was able to get back the house to beat Kuya’s 24 hour deadline.

The Romantic Stud of Samar was originally a part of the first batch of housemates to have lived in House A, where he became exceptionally close to Princess. Towards the end of the first week, Tom was asked to switch houses with Melay, thus making him part of House B.

Princess left voluntarily without bidding goodbye to Tom, and it took him days to have finally heard the news that his lady love had left. Tom and Princess were given a chance to say goodbye to each other live via a monitor during “Uber.” The two were reunited again as Tom made his exit during the PBB Saturday Live Show.

Meanwhile, after two consecutive weeks of losing, original House A members were able to redeem themselves after winning the sixth weekly task called “Pinoy Big Battle.” They also got back to their original house after winning the “Pinoy Big Ball Challenge.” The Original House B housemates, on the other hand, went back to House B without their personal belonging as punishment for the losing team.

Previously on Pinoy Big Brother Double UP, Housemates Rob and Mariel drank too much and misbehaved during the tropical themed party held for Finnish visitor Katlin Laas.

For the first time, the original House B housemates won the weekly task and were overwhelmed with lots of food and Finnish alcohol. Some of the housemates nearly forgot about their visitor. However, thanks to Hermes, who developed an instant chemistry with Katlin, their guest didn’t mind a one-on-one conversation and house tour.

Once again, the two houses are competing for the next week’s budget and it will be up to Katlin who will win or not. The housemates do not know that their weekly task is to show hospitality to Katlin. Katlin spent time with the housemates in House A as they taught her how to sing “Maalaala mo Kaya” for her duet performance with Tom. House B also entertained her led by Melay who practiced folk dances like Maglalatik and Tinikling.

In another game, Katlin teamed up with Yuri, Tom and Rob in pool football and they won. As a reward, big brother gave them a prize (ironically) – a table filled with Filipino exotic food that they all must consume. Katlin was shocked seeing the duck embryo comes out from the balut but she was able to eat it afterwards with the help of Hermes. Among the four, it was Rob who had difficulty eating the balut.

Meanwhile, Cathy is getting used to Finland’s liberated culture after witnessing two men kiss each other in a party thrown by the Finnish Big Brother. Another pair even did something naughty beneath the sheets inside the house! Although shocked, Cathy handled everything well and has been well received by Finnish viewers.

The 22 year old Estonian born Katlin entered the PBB house last Sunday (Nov 1) where she immediately had to judge the winner of the “This is Stitch” weekly task. Katlin chose the cross stitch artwork of House A, which is made up of former House B housemates.

This is the first time Tom, Mariel, Yuri, Hermes, Patrick, and Kath won in the weekly task. Their group now enjoys a full weekly budget with new housemates Rob and Katlin, who reportedly had a mutual instant attraction with Hermes.

Meanwhile, Hermes’ other crush Cathy has also settled inside Big Brother Finland. After losing her baggage during a connecting flight, she was provided by the PBB production with some clothes and warmers since it is winter in Finland.

Cathy will have to get use to more than just the cold weather as she interacts with her liberated European housemates. It was reported how the Finnish housemates kissed one another when they got drunk inside their house.

Despite weather forecasts about a coming storm, Big Brother is pushing through with one of the biggest twists of the season where a housemate from Finland will trade places with a local housemate, which happens to be Cathy Remperas, the Charming Babe of Bohol.

The 22 year old Finnish housemate admitted to the Finnish Big Brother that she is not fluent in English. A food processing worker, Kattlin describes herself as a positive and cheerful person. Her weakness, meanwhile, is her short temper. She hates people with oversized ego, people who lie a lot, and people-pleasers.

Will Kattlin be able to relate to the Pinoy housemates? Will she be able to adjust to the culture and language? What foreign traits and culture will she introduce to the housemates and the Filipino audience?

Last Monday (Oct 19), housemates were given only five minutes to pack their toiletries and undergarments – the only personal items that they were allowed to bring as they cross to the other side of Kuya’s house.

Former House A housemates immediately were fond of the “fun house” feel of their new place, while former House B housemates instantly enjoyed the pool in their new home.

Big Brother then asked the housemates to pick one member from the other house to permanently stay with them to balance the number of female and male housemates in each house.

Rob, the Ladies Man of Austria is now living with former House B housemates like Mariel, Yhel, Yuri. Carol, on the other hand, is now staying with the likes of Rica, Cathy, and Melay on the other house.

After Jim left the house last Saturday night, Princess followed last night by invoking “voluntary exit” from the house because of a violation. Yhel, on the other hand, received automatic nomination for violating the “don’t discuss the nominations” rule.

Four other housemates, selected by the majority via voting process, are also in the chopping block in danger of eviction this Saturday. They are Carol, Tibo, Delio and Marielle.

It was just yesterday that Carol was able to breathe a sigh of relief after hearing that she was safe from eviction. She believed that many did vote for her, and she expressed her gratefulness for their support. Little did she know that she would be calling on this support yet again, as she joins the list of nominees for the second time. Her inability to control her emotions proved to be her downfall, as it came to the point that she allowed this to rule her actions. The other housemates viewed this as a sign of immaturity, something that had already caused friction within House B. Tension between her and Hermes was a concrete example of this. Carol seems to be growing up, though, as she accepted her second nomination with a smile, a total shift from last week?s tears.

Yhel and Marielle were given automatic nominations by Kuya. Like Princess (who has opted for a Voluntary Exit after Kuya called her attention on a violation), they committed a major violation about discussing the nominations. Marielle casually told Yhel about not voting for someone, and Yhel made the mistake of repeating this information to someone else. Their housemates were informed of this and were given the chance to perform a task in exchange for the safety of one of them. Finally, House B was successful in their task, and they chose to save Marielle, leaving Yhel with the automatic nomination. This action was overturned by the housemates themselves, as their votes led to Marielle being nominated anyway. They felt that she had committed too many violations, even involving Yhel in the process. With her tough personality, they also believed she would be able to handle the stress of the nomination with ease. For their last words, both remained perky as they asked for another chance to show the world what they have to offer.

Tibo was, surprisingly, part of the list of nominees. Aside from the fact that his housemates felt he would rather be with his family, his change of decision regarding last week’s task was what cost him points. Delio was also nominated. Apparently, Princess was not the only one who felt his tough act was getting old. Quite a number of the housemates felt that he was difficult to talk to, being too self-righteous and egoistic by refusing to consider the opinions of others. Both housemates remained calm upon hearing their fate, believing that everyone had to experience it at some point. They kept their message short and sweet, both asking for support from their kababayans and sending an “I love you” to their respective families.

During the First Eviction Night, Princess was the first nominee to be taken off the chopping block. The next person to breathe easy was Carol.

Melai’s love interest, Jason Francisco, received the most number of votes among the four nominees while Jimson Ortega, on the other hand, was the lowest votegetter. Kath, Jim’s wife, was teary eyed after knowing that her husband was evicted.

It was also revealed that there’s going to be another “Big Brother Swap” this year. In what country and which housemate will be selected for the Big Brother Swap? The answer will be revealed in the upcoming episodes of Pinoy Big Brother.

The housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Double Up” thought they would simply be dancing in their 3rd weekly task “TakFAN mo Dance.” Little did they know their convictions would also be tested after they were made to choose to dance wearing skin tone undergarment, a t-back, or in the nude with only a smiley to cover their private part.

Pressure has doubled too with the on-going rivalry between the two houses and the peer pressure among housemates of the same house. Jason of House A, for example, was being coaxed to go all the way by his housemates so they would get more additional points and win the budget for next week. In the end, he did not bow to them.

Then the housemates would also face the opinions of their loved ones. Patrick had second thoughts after he heard his wife tell him “what’s private between husband and wife must be kept private.” Mariel was also reminded by her mother that her decision may offend the conservative Filipino church-goers.

Inspired by the Youtube hit “The Naked Japanese Fan Dance,” housemates have to showcase good choreography and coordination as they dance naked or semi-naked with only fans to cover their private parts.

To get additional points, all girls in House A, including the Transpinay Rica, will wear Tback, while the boys- except Jason, will dance nude. On the other hand, all boys in House B agreed to go all-the-way, while Carol backed out from wearing T-back due to her strict Christian morals, giving her house a 20 point disadvantage.

Also, this week, nominated housemates Carol and Princess temporarily swapped houses. Carol from House B visited House A where she received a warm welcome. Princess, on the other hand, received cold treatment from House B girls after a tactless remark where she asked House B if they still have food after losing to House A in the earlier tasks.

The good thing that was brought about by the housemate swap is that “close” friends Tom and Princess were reunited for a time.
